    Join Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lorain County for a special visit to the Lorain Public Library’s Main Branch. This interactive experience is designed to help families explore the many free resources available right in our community.

    Participants will have the opportunity to tour the Teen Space, Create Space, Library of Things, Computer Lab, and Culinary Space. Families can check out books, learn about programs and services, and even sign up for a library card that day.

    Whether you love reading, creating, cooking, gaming, or learning something new, the library truly has something for everyone.

    The Little Chef Sessions invite families to explore the joy of healthy cooking together from the comfort of home. In partnership with Steve Baker of West Creek Conservancy and Spice Kitchen, this virtual session introduces children of all ages to simple, nutritious cooking in a fun and interactive way. Families will cook along during a live demonstration, building confidence, creativity, and connection in the kitchen.     Participants will learn about programs such as A.L.I.C.E. and Run, Hide, Fight, including similarities, differences, and how certain principles may apply in other situations. The session will also include an overview of the Safer Ohio Tipline, how it works, and how students, families, and community members can use it to report concerns and help prevent potential threats.
