Tribute Gifts
Honor, commemorate, memorialize, or celebrate with a Tribute Gift to BBBSLC. Some of the most meaningful gifts we receive are those given in honor of loved ones or in celebration of a joyful milestone. Your donation can make a difference in the life of a child and will keep on giving for years to come.
Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Lorain County acknowledges these gifts by sending an acknowledge note to the person honored or to a relative in the case of a memorial gift. The amount of the gift is not mentioned and all contributions are tax-deductible. A separate receipt will be sent to you for tax purposes.
Legacy and Planned Gifts
Planned gifts ensure that Big Brothers Big Sisters can continue to provide the benefits of one-on-one mentoring to future generation. By making a gift through your estate to BBBSLC, you can create a lasting legacy of hope and resilience for our community’s children, while creating tax benefits for you and your heirs.

Corporate Matching Gifts
You can sometimes double your donation to BBBSLC by taking advantage of your employer’s Matching Gift Program. Many employers will match your gift if you or your spouse is an employee. Attend or Sponsor an Event
Every year, BBBSLC holds three major fundraising events to help support mentoring services in Lorain County. They include the annual Swing Fore Kids Golf Tournament, Night at the Races, and Bowl for Kids’ Sake. Corporate sponsorship opportunities are offered for all three events and are advertised on our website three months prior to the events that generally occur in October, November and February. The public is invited to attend. BBBSLC has also introduced a quarterly Great BIG 50/50 Raffle that encourages participation by community members.
Many companies and organizations in Lorain County also join in partnership with us by sponsoring their own employee fundraisers and donating the proceeds to BBBSLC. Among some of the events have included a Chili Cook-off, Dress-Down Day, a motorcycle run, a car show and more.
