Committed to Service

JohnArch_(1).jpgJohn Arch was recently appointed to the Board of Directors for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lorain County.

According to Arch, "My decision to become a Big Brother was driven by a desire to give back to the community I have called home for the last ten years. Mentoring appealed to me because of the potential to make a meaningful, long-term, positive impact on a young person's life. And, it's fun! As a board member, I can lend my time and talent to further the reach of Big Brothers Big Sisters throughout Lorain County."

John is a Warehouse Operations Manager for Swagelok. In this role he oversees the logistics for inbound raw materials and the distribution of finished product. Prior to joining Swagelok in March of 2014, John has held various roles with manufacturing companies such as PPG Architectural Coatings, ConAgra Foods, and Cargill. After graduating from Allegheny College, he served as a submarine officer in the United States Navy.

John is the father of three children and has been a resident of Avon Lake since 2005. He is looking forward to his new role and is confident his business experience and passion for mentoring will make a lasting impact at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lorain County.
