Whatever you may be looking for, Big Brothers Big Sisters events are a fun way to learn about our mission, raise money for a great cause and have fun while doing it.

    Avon Lake Fishing With Friends

    Fishing with Friends-- FREE!

    Join us this summer at Miller Road Pier & Walker Road Park Reservoir for year two of our popular fishing program!

     

    June 13th-August 12th, poles, bait and knowledgeable attendants will be available. Stop up once to give it a try or make it a part of your daily routine!

     

    Tu/Th/Sat from 10:00AM - 2:00PM at Walker Road Park. Catch Bluegill, Bass and Catfish!

    Wed/Fri from 10:00AM - 2:00PM at Miller Road Park. Catch Yellow Perch, Sunfish, Bass and more!

     

    AGE RESTRICTIONS

    •   This program is designed for kids 15 and under (families encouraged!). Other ages may be accommodated but please check with the attendant.

    •   All youth under 18 must have a signed permission form completed during or prior to their first fishing experience with the Avon Lake Parks & Recreation Department.
    •   Children under 12 years old must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible person, 14 years old or older. Children under 6 years old need to have a responsible individual within arm’s reach at all times.

    Coding a Better World (Coding Club)

    Come and join us this summer as we explore the world of coding, build cool projects, and have fun! We will meet in the Teen Zone and learn together how to build simple computer programs, create animation, play with tech toys, and more. No experience necessary to participate.

    STEM Camp: Week 3- June 28th 10 a.m. -12 p.m. Space

     

    Join us four our camp sessions where Get With the Program will take a holistic approach to child development by  incorporating art, music, physical education, and language arts into STEM learning. Space will be limited, and registration must be done in person at the West River Branch of EPLS.
